Everyone we meet and know ultimately has his/her own journey. The greatest blessing is to have either a good friend or a spouse who will walk life alongside you and always be there. But given the nature of material life, that is not always possible. We all carry with us our individual karmas and Divine Spirit (God, Brahman) has plans for each of us. We are all servants of the Divine One, OM. So, with that said, we are with others (e.g. other people) for a “season”, I guess you could say. That season might be a day or a month or a year or a decade or several decades, but not always “always”. So, where is our sense of oneness with God who we cannot see but who is Divine Spirit, beyond physical and intellectual perception? The answer is the Sacred Syllable “OM”. OM is the revealed Word of God. OM is the True Nature, Name, Sound, and Self of God in all ways – Father, Son, Holy Ghost, Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, Creator, Maintainer, Dissolver, God The Father, God the Mother, God Indescribable, etc. We can chant OM. We can breathe OM. We can draw and reflect on OM. We can contemplate and meditate on OM. It is easy. This is all confirmed in His Holiness Swami Sivananda’s book “Meditation on OM” and His Holiness Swami Sri Yukteswar’s book “Holy Science”. Namaste.
