The Name and Nature of God

Happy Friday Omyoga blog followers. I appreciate your visit! Today, I would like to touch on a topic that helps me to stay centered in my spiritual path of OM meditation. When asked about my path, I simply tell others that I chant OM and meditate on OM as my spiritual path. Why? Well, in short, OM is the name of God according to the ancient Yoga Guru Patanjali (Sutra 1.27). And, amazingly enough, today, in 2020, in not only English but quite a few latin-based languages, three words used to describe God are Omniscience, Omnipresence, and Omnipotence. These words, respectively, mean “Infinite Awareness”, “Infinite Presence” and “Infinite Power”. Who alone is Infinite in Awareness, Presence, and Power? Only God. Agree? So, is it any coincidence that God’s Name and Nature are one and the same? I say no. I believe it is by design that we can know God’s Name by directly understanding him through these three words of Omniscience, Omnipresence, and Omnipotence. Namaste, Keith
