Hebrews 11:1

Dear Omyoga Blog followers and visitors. Today, I would like to shed light on a common Bible passage, Hebrews 11:1, which states that “Faith is the substance of things not seen.” Faith indeed is a profound idea, because in life we all want evidence all the time to ensure that our journey and decisions are on track. However, this cannot always happen. For example, at night, the Sun is not there. However, it is shining for the other side of the globe. But, thanks to modern science, we know the Sun will soon appear again at dawn. That is faith in science. If we listen to the words of great realized yogis like Swami Sivananda and Swami Sri Yukteswar, we can see through their witness and writings that God exists and that the practice of OM meditation has tremendous value and propels us forward toward God despite what we might be experiencing in the immediate physical world. We need to trust these great souls about God just like we trust scientists about the Sun. We must be careful who we follow and listen to. Not everyone’s words will help us. So, let us focus on the words of great souls who have dedicated their lives to God and God Realization. Namaste. /|\
