Tibetan OM Mandala

The Tibetan OM Mandala that you see in this post features the Sacred Tibetan Mantra Om Mani Padme Hum, which is the Tibetan Buddhism mantra/prayer for Universal Compassion. When you chant Om Mani Padme Hum, you have prayed for all sentient beings in all realms of existence for their well-being. However, notice how “OM” is the very center of this Mandala. So, we can infer here that even the composite mantra Om Mani Padme Hum has its true roots in the Sacred Syllable OM. Buddhists generally meditate on emptiness and one goal of Buddhist monks is to see through material things and see that everything is primarily emptiness, like the hollow ring or gong of a bell. I appreciate this teaching greatly because when you can see, from the material angle, that physical things are essentially empty, this paves the way for spiritual realization. Eventually, one will see that true being and substance is at the spiritual level, which is transcendent to the material level of life. Namaste. /|\
